Rob Hayers
Lives in Aylesbury. Worked for Neil for five years, before flying the nest to go it alone for a
while, but the lure of Porsches and the Venture Park proved just too much to resist, and in
2012 he was back at 421 Gasoline Alley.
Loves Porsches of all kinds, but has a real passion
for the air-cooled classics, and is as pedantic about historical accuracy and attention to
detail as they come. ‘Sow’s ear to silk purse’ is perhaps the phrase which best summarises
his work ethic.
Adores his Brumos-liveried VW van – which he has restored in his spare time,
with the aid of the superb workshop facilities at his disposal – and so-called Millionaires’
shortbread. Has a couple of 944 projects on the go, including a trackday car shared with
Little Rob, and a rather strange interest in classic scooters, too…
